FISH AND CHIPS
The fish and chips is a typical dish of the British cuisine. It consists of white fried fish fillet in batter with a lot of thick fries, also fried.It's served with a splash of salt and vinegar and is often accompanied also by other dishes, often peas.
JACKET POTATO
The Jacket potato, an Anglo-saxon speciality, is large stuffed potato. It can be cooked in a wood oven, in the microwave or grilled on the barbeque.
The filling varies dipending on the place.
The potato is cooked with the peel, then stuffed with beans, flacked cheese and mayonnaise. Tuna, chicken and bacon are alternative fillings of the jacket potato, but less used. On the streets of the UK it was one of the best selling foods.
